You are a child of the universe
No less than the trees and the stars
And you have a right to be here
And whether or not it is clear to you
No doubt the universe is unfolding as it should
Therefore, be at peace with God
Whatever you conceive him to be
And whatever your labors and aspirations
In the noisy confusion of life
Keep peace with your soul
As far as possible, without surrender
Be on good terms with all persons
Speak your truth quietly and clearly
And listen to the dull and ignorant
They too have their story
Avoid loud and aggressive persons
They are vexatious to the spirit
If you compare yourself with others
You may become vain or bitter
For always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself
Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans
Keep interested in your career however humble it is
A real possession in the changing fortune of time
Be yourself
Especially do not feign affection
Neither be cynical about love
Take kindly the council of the years
Gracefully surrendering the things of youth
Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune
But do not distress yourself with imaginings
Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness
Beyond a wholesome discipline
Be gentle to yourself
With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams
It is still a beautiful world
Go placidly amid the noise and the haste
And remember what peace there maybe in the silence
Gears of War 2 — Need to get those last two cheevos!
Red Dead Redemption — Virtually done with the story, now to do all the multiplayer stuff & collectibles
Mass Effect 2 – Gotta finish it on the hardest difficulty, plus I haven’t finished the latest two DLC packs!
Band Hero – Playing to get those platinum challenges!
Alan Wake – Recently purchased, played for about an hour.
Viva Piñata: TIP – Completing all those challenges. Thank you, “Piñata Vision”!
Once I’ve finished these to my satisfaction, I think it’s time to get Crackdown 2 (AWESOME), finish Lego: Batman (the only Lego game I haven’t finished yet), and possibly go through some more GoW1 achievements. Wish me luck!
The new digs is going to happen man — more specifically the new digs are going to happen this weekend! I just signed my life away to corporate America, but I got an awesome penthouse in return . I’m picking up the keys tomorrow, and the movers will be coming by on Monday. Quite simply put it is going to be awesome .
For those who want to use Windows Live Alerts to keep up to date with this blog: It’s your lucky day.
If you go all the way to the top of this page, on the left side you should see two items: “rss” and “alerts”. To subscribe to RSS using your favorite RSS reader, use the “rss” item. However, if you want to automatically receive updates of new posts on Windows Live Messenger (and optionally via e-mail or mobile device), go for the “alerts” option (of course ).
In case you’re wondering how to get one of these spiffy Alerts thingies for your own blog, check out http://dev.live.com/alerts.
Look, it’s a blog! With, you know, stuff on it! I’ve moved out of the proverbial basement of Windows Live Spaces, and into my own apartment, as it were. My apartment being my own domains, which (for some of them) I’ve owned for a while but I’ve never really done much with them. So I figured, you know, why not stick up a blog up on it?
